Welcome! This guide will walk you through setting up your new PAX A77 payment terminal in just a few simple steps. The entire process takes approximately 15 minutes.

Quick Setup Steps
Setup Time: Approximately 15 minutes
Requirements: Wi-Fi network name and password
Step 1: Prepare Your Terminal
Remove the battery tab
Gently pry open the back cover of the device (it will snap off)
Pull off the plastic battery tab inside
Snap the back cover back on
Charge your device
While the terminal comes pre-charged, we recommend plugging it in during setup
Step 2: Power On
Press and hold the power button until the screen lights up. The terminal will boot up and display the home screen.
Step 3: Connect to Wi-Fi
Important: Make sure you have your Wi-Fi network name and password ready before starting this step.
Access Quick Settings
Use two fingers and swipe down from the top of the screen
The Android Quick Settings panel will appear
Open Wi-Fi Settings
Look for a small arrow (βΆ) to the right of the Wi-Fi label
Tap the arrow to expand Wi-Fi options
Connect to Your Network
Toggle Wi-Fi ON by sliding the switch
Select your network from the list
Enter your password using the on-screen keyboard
Tap CONNECT
Verify Connection
The device will show "Connected" under your network name
You'll see the Wi-Fi icon in the status bar
Close Settings
Tap the square icon (β‘) at the bottom of the screen
Select Clear All to return to the home screen
Success! Once connected to Wi-Fi, your terminal will automatically begin downloading and installing the Prahsys software. This process takes about 10-15 minutes.
Step 4: Automatic Installation
Once connected to Wi-Fi:
The terminal will automatically download the Prahsys application
Installation progress will be displayed on screen
Do not power off the device during this process
When complete, the Prahsys app will launch automatically

Tip: You can find your Merchant ID in your Prahsys dashboard under Account Settings.
Troubleshooting
Terminal won't connect to Wi-Fi
Verify your password is correct
Ensure you're within range of your router
Try restarting the terminal
Check if other devices can connect to the same network
Installation seems stuck
Ensure stable Wi-Fi connection
Allow up to 20 minutes for first-time setup
If stuck for over 30 minutes, restart the terminal
Can't find the back cover latch
Look for small indentations on the sides
Use gentle pressure - the cover is designed to snap on/off
Don't force it - if you're having trouble, contact support
