Welcome to Prahsys Tutorials. Before you open your first scan in PrognosiX, there are two quick steps: a short orientation, and a few questions about your devices.
To open a scan, click it in the Scans list. The first time you open a scan, PrognosiX shows its orientation. It covers what the AI does, what it doesn't do, and what stays your responsibility. You only need to read it once. First, the AI is a second set of eyes. It helps you read the scan, but you make the call. Second, always read the CBCT yourself. Use the overlay to double-check your reading, never to replace it. Third, the overlay shows just one thing, the pulp. If it seems to mark anything else, that's a mistake. Fourth, it does not identify the inferior alveolar nerve or the mandibular canal. Locate those yourself on the CBCT. And fifth, it's built for ages twelve and up. During the current study period, PrognosiX is investigational, for evaluation on de-identified data only. It is not FDA cleared. If a result looks wrong, report it from the Enhancements menu. When you've read it, click I have read and understood.
Next, if your practice hasn't answered them yet, PrognosiX asks a few questions about the devices you'll use, so it can make sure the software works well on your equipment. It's asked only once, for the whole practice. Check every type of device you'll use. Then, for the one you'll mainly use to review scans, choose how you use it, its screen size, and roughly how powerful it is. Click Continue, and your scan opens.
That's everything before your first scan. Next, PrognosiX gives you a quick tour of the scan page. If you have questions, click the chat bubble in the bottom corner to message our support team. We're happy to help. Thanks for watching Prahsys Tutorials.
Quick Steps
The orientation
In the Scans list, click a scan to open it. The first time, PrognosiX shows Before you review AI results instead.
Read the five points:
A second reader, not a diagnosis — the AI helps you read the scan; the clinical decision is yours.
Review the CBCT yourself on every case — verify the overlay against your own reading; it never replaces it.
The overlay marks only dental pulp tissue — if it seems to mark anything else, that is an error.
It does not identify the inferior alveolar nerve or the mandibular canal — find them yourself on the source CBCT.
Built for ages 12 and up.
Click I have read and understood. You only see the orientation once.
Your devices
If your practice hasn't answered it yet, Tell us about the devices you'll use opens next. It's asked once for the whole practice.
Under Which types of devices will your practice use to access PrognosiX?, check every type that applies.
For the device you'll primarily use to review scans, choose how you'll interact with it, its screen size, and roughly how powerful it is.
Click Continue. Your scan opens, and PrognosiX starts a short tour of the scan page.
Important: PrognosiX AI is an assistive, second-reader tool. It does not diagnose, and it is not a substitute for your own reading of the scan. During the current study period the device is investigational and for evaluation on de-identified data only. It is not FDA cleared and is not for diagnostic use or patient care. See the User Manual in your user menu for the full safety information.
