Welcome to Prahsys Tutorials. In this tutorial, you'll upload your first scan to PrognosiX: how to zip it, upload it, and track the enhancement.
Start with the scan you exported from your imaging software: one folder, for one patient, holding the full series of .dcm image slices. To zip it on a Mac, right-click the folder and choose Compress. On Windows, right-click and choose Send to, then Compressed (zipped) folder. Either way, you'll get a single .zip file, ready to upload.
On the Dashboard, drag the .zip onto Upload a scan. Nothing is sent yet. You'll see the file and its size, and you can link it to a patient if you like. When you're ready, click Enhance. First, the scan is uploaded. A large scan can take a minute or two, depending on your connection.
Then PrognosiX takes over. It prepares and checks the images, removes patient identifiers, and segments the pulp tissue. Most scans finish in about three minutes, and the same progress shows in the Scans table below. When you see Enhancement ready, click View enhanced scan to open it. Your new scan is also at the top of the Scans table.
That's how to upload your first scan in PrognosiX. If you have questions, click the chat bubble in the bottom corner, then Send us a message. Our support team is happy to help. Thanks for watching Prahsys Tutorials.
Quick Steps
Zip your scan
Export the scan from your imaging software: one folder for one patient, with the full DICOM series (the .dcm image slices).
Mac: right-click the folder and choose Compress.
Windows: right-click the folder and choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.
Upload one patient per .zip. For what to avoid, click How to upload on the Dashboard. Learn more →
Upload it
On the Dashboard, drag the .zip onto Upload a scan, or click it to browse.
Check the file name and size. To link the scan to a patient, search under Patient (optional). Nothing is sent until you click Enhance.
Click Enhance. The scan is read and uploaded. A large scan can take a minute or two, depending on your connection.
Track the enhancement
The card shows each step: Upload, Prepare, Check, Secure and Analyze. Most scans finish in about 3 minutes. The Status column in the Scans table shows the same progress.
When you see Enhancement ready, click View enhanced scan to open it. The scan is also at the top of the Scans table. If the card says Securing patient data is still finishing in the background, removing identifiers is still wrapping up.
If you upload the exact same .zip again, PrognosiX recognizes it and shows the existing scan instead of processing it twice.
Important: PrognosiX AI is an assistive, second-reader tool. It does not diagnose, and it is not a substitute for your own reading of the scan. During the current study period the device is investigational and for evaluation on de-identified data only. It is not FDA cleared and is not for diagnostic use or patient care. See the User Manual in your user menu for the full safety information.
