Welcome to Prahsys Tutorials. When your scan is ready, PrognosiX tours the viewer. In this tutorial, you'll learn the image controls and the panoramic view, then confirm your review to turn on the overlay.
All four panes are live: Axial, 3D, Sagittal and Coronal. Click Next to start. Each pane has a Lock in its left strip. Click it to freeze that pane where it is. Now dragging, panning, zooming and scrolling won't move it, so you can't lose your place. Thickness and Rotate still work. Click Lock again to go live. Thickness widens a slice, so the other panes show everything inside it. That's a summary of the tissue, so confirm what you see on a thin slice. To mark a spot, click Add marker, then click a slice view. The marker stays on that view as you scroll, and a sphere marks it in 3D. Each marker is listed here, where you can change its color, opacity and size, or remove it with the trash can. This is where the Pulp slider goes. It fades the AI's pulp overlay in every pane, so you can check the image underneath. For now it asks you to confirm your CBCT review first. You'll do that at the end of the tour. 3D Settings changes how the 3D view is drawn, such as how smooth the pulp surface looks and the lighting. Drag in the 3D pane to turn the volume. Right-drag to pan, and scroll to zoom. None of this moves the other three panes.
These buttons switch the 3D pane to a panoramic view. Control or Command O does the same. The panoramic view is rebuilt from this CBCT. It isn't a panoramic X-ray, so use the axial, sagittal and coronal views to confirm anything you see here. The amber dashed curve on Axial is the arch the panorama follows. A wrong curve can still look right, so check it. Drag its dots to fix it, or click Reset arch. That's the viewer. Click Done.
Next, PrognosiX asks you to confirm that you've reviewed the original CBCT yourself. The AI overlay stays hidden until you do. If you haven't yet, choose Not yet. The scan stays open without the overlay. Once you have, click I have reviewed it. The pulp overlay appears in every pane, and the slider takes the notice's place. You won't be asked again for this scan. Disclosures now shows CBCT reviewed, recorded for this case. That's the scan viewer tour. To take it again, click Tutorials in the page header. Thanks for watching Prahsys Tutorials.
Quick Steps
The image controls
When your scan is ready, the tour Your scan is ready starts by itself. Click Next to move through it.
Use the controls it shows you:
Lock (in each pane's left strip) freezes that pane's slice position: dragging, panning, zooming, scrolling and windowing no longer move it. Thickness and Rotate still work. Click Lock again to go live.
Thickness + / − widens the slice, so the other panes show everything inside it. That's a summary of the tissue: confirm findings on a thin slice (0.05 mm is a single slice).
Add marker (in the left panel), then click a slice view, to mark a spot. The marker stays on that view as you scroll, and a sphere marks it in 3D. In the Markers list, change its color, opacity and size, or remove it with the trash can.
The Pulp slider fades the AI pulp overlay in every pane and the panorama, so you can check the image underneath. Ctrl/Cmd+P switches it between off and on. Until you confirm your CBCT review, this spot reads AI Overlay Hidden.
3D Settings (in the menu bar) sets pulp surface smoothing, plane opacity, shade lighting, and how the cut planes are drawn in 3D.
In the 3D pane, drag to turn the volume, right-drag to pan, and scroll to zoom. None of this moves the other three panes.
Panoramic view
Click PANO at the top right of the 3D pane (or press Ctrl/Cmd+O) to switch to the panoramic view. Click 3D to switch back.
The panorama is reconstructed from the CBCT you're viewing. It is not a panoramic radiograph: its geometry and magnification differ, its detail is limited by the CBCT voxel size, and any metal artifacts carry through. Use the axial, sagittal and coronal views to confirm anything you see in it.
Check the amber dashed curve on Axial: it's the dental arch the panorama follows, and a wrong curve can still look plausible. Drag any of its seven dots to correct it, or click Reset arch beside AXIAL to restore the automatic fit.
Click Done to finish the tour.
Confirm your review
After the tour, Confirm your review of this CBCT opens. You can also open it from AI Overlay Hidden in the left panel, or from Disclosures in the menu bar.
If you haven't reviewed the original CBCT yet, choose Not yet. The scan stays open without the AI overlay, and all source views stay available.
Once you have, click I have reviewed it. The pulp overlay appears in every pane, and the Pulp slider takes the notice's place. It's recorded for that scan, and you won't be asked again for it.
Disclosures in the menu bar now shows CBCT reviewed as Recorded.
To take the viewer tour again, click Tutorials in the page header and choose Tour the scan viewer.
